Lauro is a software engineer and trail runner from Portland, Oregon who bridges technology and outdoor advocacy. They founded Tierra Libre Run, a nonprofit creating inclusive pathways for runners of color to thrive in the sport of trail running through community, mentorship and access. As a Footprints Camp fellow, Lauro launched this initiative to address critical representation gaps in trail running.
Their unique perspective spans both tech and outdoor industries, focusing on accessible solutions that break down traditional barriers to participation. By fostering authentic communities and amplifying underrepresented voices, Lauro is reshaping trail running's future while building a more equitable outdoor industry.
