TrailCon 2026 Media Accreditation
TrailCon, presented by On, is North America’s Premier Trail Running Festival.
Held each June at the iconic Palisades Tahoe, California, our next event is scheduled for June 22-24, 2026.
With panels and activations focused on the most pressing educational and inspirational topics in the sport, TrailCon is attended by stakeholders from the entire community, including brands, athletes, and fans. The event features over 20 individual panels, made up of thought leaders and icons of the sport, and a 60+ brand vendor village, where industry leading companies showcase the latest and greatest trail apparel, equipment and accessories.
By bridging two of the world’s most famous races, the Broken Arrow Skyrace and iconic Western States Endurance Run, TrailCon harnesses the energy of these premier races to create a transformative experience and a new 10-day Trail Running Capital of the World. From trail aficionados to industry titans, TrailCon welcomes all voices to Palisades Tahoe each June. Both days see numerous demo opportunities and brand activations, plus the event is 100% free to attend.
Amidst the rapid growth and global reach of trail running, we’re proud to introduce a groundbreaking event that celebrates the spirit of unity, innovation, and collective progress for our beloved sport. Whether you represent a brand, are a marketing professional, agent, professional athlete, or merely a general fan of the sport, TrailCon is for you.
As the trail running landscape evolves, TrailCon provides an inclusive platform for dialogue, collaboration, education and inspiration.
TrailCon 2026 Media Accreditation Policy
The organizers of the TrailCon welcome and appreciate media coverage of the event. However, we take our media access policy very seriously. As such, any unlicensed, commercial usage will trigger legal action and financial implications. This policy outlines the rights and responsibilities of media representatives who wish to access the event site, course, and participants. As a condition of accreditation, and access to an event we’ve worked so hard to build, images and footage may NEVER be sold to third parties. All photographs taken at the event are only to be used by the credentialed individual for non-commercial purposes, unless otherwise granted by the TrailCon.
Commercial rights require a separate licensing agreement and we expect all applications to offer complete transparency in terms of how respective media will be used. If you are an independent/freelance individual/business capturing content that will be used for ANY commercial use, we require a complete explanation of what this will look like.
These details pertain ONLY to the members of the media who are reporting on the event for established media outlets for news or editorial purposes AND content creators, photographers, videographers, etc. working for commercial purposes.
Generally, the TrailCon defines media as:
- Those who are in the business of content capture/creation as their primary source of income.
- Those journalists, photographers, videographers or social media/internet personalities who are on a specific assignment from an established media organization.
- Anyone involved in the creation of a film, regardless of duration, outlet or type.
- YouTube creators, podcasters or internet personalities.
All media representatives who wish to cover the 2026 TrailCon event must apply for media accreditation prior to the event.
Media accreditation is granted at the sole discretion of the organizers and may be revoked at any time for any reason. If you are coming with a team, please note that EVERY member is required to possess accreditation.
Realize that any lack of cooperation can lead to loss of accreditation.
The general public is not eligible for media accreditation at the TrailCon.
All credentials will be available for pickup June 22 at registration for Day 1 – Stakeholder Day at the Events Center
Media accreditation will be granted by June 15 and all eligible parties will be notified via email, whereby a legally binding contract is required.
The deadline for submission is June 10.
