Lauren Shoemaker

Lauren Shoemaker is the State Park Superintendent for Auburn State Recreation Area. As a second-generation Park Ranger, Lauren was raised with a passion for outdoor recreation, natural resources, and cultural resources. She began her career with California State Parks working as a seasonal Park Aide in the Santa Cruz District. Since graduating the State Park Peace Officer Academy in 2013, Lauren has worked assignments in over 30 State Parks throughout the state including San Luis Reservoir State Recreation Area, Anza Borrego Dessert State Park, Folsom Lake State Recreation Area, Auburn State Recreation Area and the Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Division. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling to the Eastern Sierras with her two kids, husband and two dogs.
