Jeff Browning
Jeff Browning, aka “Bronco Billy,” is a highly accomplished veteran ultra runner and endurance coach. His career spans over 25 years of competition defined by a deep passion for mountain exploration and adventure in the world’s hardest ultra mountain races and remote expeditions.
A dominant force in the sport, Jeff has finished over 230 ultra marathons and secured over 40 career wins. With more than 30 wins in the 100-mile plus distance, he ranks second in the world for most 100-mile victories in history. A seven-time finisher and winner of the wild and tough Hardrock 100, Jeff thrives on traversing extreme mountain terrain. He is also the only man over 50 to be ranked in the Top Ten of Ultrarunning Magazine’s North American Ultrarunner of the Year, an honor he has achieved eight times. His commitment to adventure includes expeditions on iconic routes like the 490-mile Colorado Trail, the Patagonia National Park in Chile, and the Owyhee Canyonlands in southeastern Oregon.
Jeff leverages his vast experience in ultra running, mountain exploration, and entrepreneurship to coach runners of all backgrounds, focusing on nutrition, endurance, mindset, strategy, and grit. Outside of athletics, he has played a significant role in the running industry for over a decade. With over 15 years of experience driving product innovation in footwear development and testing, he has collaborated with industry-leading brands, including Patagonia and Altra’s innovation team. In 2026, he joined KEEN Footwear as an athlete, tester, and innovator, where he now channels his expertise into helping develop their new performance running line.
