founder, Doc Lyss Fitness and the Lyss Method

Alyssa Olenick

Dr. Alyssa Olenick holds a PhD in Exercise Physiology.  Her training and research have focused on exercise, metabolism, and areas of sports science that have historically ignored women’s fitness, health, and physiology. She's the founder of her business, Doc Lyss Fitness, and The Lyss Method. As a coach, she specializes in endurance, strength, and the overlap between the two, translating the science into programming people can actually use. Smart training is built on the idea that women don't need a watered-down version of real training. Alyssa practices what she preaches and programs. She has competed in lifting, has 18 ultramarathon finishes ranging from 50k to 100 miles, and competes in HYROX. Her whole approach comes back to one idea: fitness is what gives you the capacity to say yes to the life you want, in the gym and well beyond it.
