10-time world record holder
Adam Popp
Adam Popp is a 10-time world record holder in endurance sports and the first and only above-knee amputee to complete a 100-mile ultramarathon. A 12-year U.S. Air Force combat-wounded veteran and former EOD team leader, Adam turned to running after losing his leg to a roadside bomb in Afghanistan in 2007. Since then, he has become one of the most accomplished adaptive ultrarunners in the world—setting records from the half marathon to 100 miles, winning the Boston Marathon’s Para Elite T61/63 division three times, and finishing some of the sport’s most formidable ultras.
Off the course, Adam holds master’s degrees in Clinical Counseling and Sport & Performance Psychology, using his expertise to help others unlock their full human potential. He works with organizations like Dare2Tri, Achilles International, and Team RWB to support athlete development, adaptive sport access, and veteran reintegration—guiding others through life after trauma, adversity, and transition, with a strong focus on physical and mental health.
